Tricia asked members whether the REC Officers needed to be changed. All agreed that the current officers should continue.
Community Garden Administrator. Mena agreed to continue managing the implementation of the project. Roberta Wiener agreed to serve as the Garden Administrator once the Garden is operational. Bob Schultz will update the website and set up e-mail access. The e-mail address will be gardeninfo@roxburyec.org
Matters Presented by Commissioners
Linda Lutz distributed a draft of a proposal for the REC to make to Council. It is a recommendation to create a task force to establish Roxbury as a green community, the first task possibly being to join Sustainable Jersey. The proposal speculates that, given the direction and efforts of the State and the nation, this task force would likely evolve into long-standing, productive committee of the Township. Commissioners were asked to read the proposal for discussion at the January 8, 2009 meeting.
